Nuthatch Sighting

We have received a report from Aaron Devlin of a Nuthatch in Belvoir Forest, the bird has been seen twice, the first time a brief glimpse two weeks ago, and again today when it was seen on a feeder. Going by the finders description, this possibly appears to be a Fenno Scandanavian type bird with very pale breast and underparts.

The location where the bird was seen is marked in red on the picture below, the car park is beside the RSPB headquarters in Belvoir.

If you visit the site to look for the bird, Aaron has placed some feeders in the area so please do not interfere with these.
