Bird News Monday 29th May

Unusually a male Garganey was on the sea immediately in front of the car park / beach area at Portmuck (Ian Enlander)

At Lough Beg, an Osprey was fishing at Church Island. Also, in the bay next to Paddy's Dubh, were 2 Garganey and 2 summer plumage Ruff; nearby were 25 Whooper swans. (Colin Davies)
