Bird News Friday 8th April

A Jack Snipe was near Sixmilecross this morning and Red Kite over Moira roundabout. (Adam McClure).

2 adult Mediterranean Gulls were calling and flying above Cockle Island, Groomsport. 250 Golden Plover were also in the air. Another adult Mediterranean Gull was near Brigg's Rocks where 8 Whooper Swans were seen flying North. (Colin Guy).

2 Mediterranean Gulls, a Pink-footed Goose and a Greenshank were at Glynn in Larne Lough. (Cameron Moore).

A 1st winter Glaucous Gull and a probable Glaucous type hybrid were in Coleraine today, between the Ballycastle Road and the Cresent. (John Clarke).

Two 1st winter Glaucous Gulls, 2 Little Egret, 5 Eider and 800 Golden Plover were in Killough Harbour. (Tim Murphy).
