Bird News Friday 15th April

A Glaucous Gull was at McAuleys' Lough near Spa, this morning. It is possibly the same bird that was seen there in July 2015 as it is in 2nd winter plumage. (David Nixon)

2 Single Buzzards  also a Peregrine Falcon and a Kestrel where between Maze and Moira on M1.(Paul Allen)

A Common Sandpiper was on Upper Lough Erne (Sarah McCaffrey)

There was a high count of around 450 Sand Martin at Oxford Island today. Also 4 Whimbrel at Reedy Flat. (James O'Neil)

A Cuckoo was calling near Coa, Co Fermanagh (Amy Burns)
