Bird News Thursday 10th March

The RSPB Belfast Harbour reserve had....2 Red-breasted Merganser, 450 Knot, 750 + Black-headed Gull 750+ Black-tailed Godwits, 175+ Bar-tailed Godwits, 2  Mediterranean Gull (one  adult with nr black head and a 2nd summer) plus 2 Snipe and 2 Gadwall where also present at the reserve.(Stephen Maxwell/Derek Polley/Tom Ennis)

A second winter Iceland Gull was at Whiteabbey this morning. (Birdguides)

Two adult Med. Gulls in summer plumage were at Glynn halt this afternoon (Gavin Ferguson)

The drake Gadwall was still on Rathlin. Two Choughs again seen. Also 40 Syklarks passing overhead, 2 Wigeon and a  Sparrowhawk (Colin Guy)
