Bird News Tuesday 19th January

The Glossy Ibis was in the flooded field in Toome today, between the Roguery Road and the Lower Bann river. At mid day, it was preening by the river bank.(Seamus Burns).

At Portrush about 110 Twite were at Ramore Head and the adult Ring-billed Gull at the East Strand car park (Stephen Foster).

A fem/imm Black Redstart was at Kilroot beach (Stephen Drake).

A female brambling continues to visit a garden in Antrim. (Mark Smyth).

Yesterday between Bangor and Groomsport there were 3 Sandwich Terns, 2 Red-throated Diver and a Great Northern Diver. (Julian Greenwood).

Blackcaps are now being widely reported from gardens across Northern Ireland.
