Bird News Saturday 23rd January

The Iceland Gull was again today at Whiteabbey, Belfast Lough (Paul McCullough)

On the east shore of  Strangford Lough the Spoonbill was at Anne’s Point, an adult Little Gull at Marlfield, a Jack Snipe at Ballyhenry Island and 11 Sandwich Tern at Portaferry. (Richard Weyl)

A single Greenshank was this morning in the pool at the end of the Connswater river (Julian Greenwood)

The redhead Smew was at Drumgay Lough, Enniskillen (Brad Robson)

The drake Smew was at Inch Lake, Co Donegal (Chris Ingram)

11 Ruff were in a flooded field at the Creagh near Toome (David Steele)
