Bird News Friday 31st July

A Golden Eagle was hunting around the Glenhead Road in Co. Antrim this morning, being mobbed by a Peregrine, Buzzard, Ravens and Kestrel,It was watched for about 20 minutes until it headed off towards Cappanagh. (Brenda Campbell/Ray Bennett)

A Whimbrel was at Ballyhenry Island,which is west of Portaferry.(Richard Haydon)

The Bann Estuary had:1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper and 100 Sanderling. (Hill Dick/Peter Robinson)
