Bird News Sunday 8th March.

At Larne Lough the Green-winged Teal and 3 Little Egret were on the north side of Ballycarry Bridge. A Red-throated Diver was at Glynn and a first-winter Iceland Gull at Sandy Bay (Cameron Moore).

 The first-winter Iceland Gull was still at Ballycastle and the first-winter Mediterranean Gull near the lifeboat station in Portrush (Tom Ennis, Allan Gillespie)

Lough Shark area today produced c300 Black-headed Gulls, 50+ Tree Sparrows, 2 Linnet,1 redwing, 1 Buzzard and a Raven.(Fulton Somerville)
