Bird News Tuesday 9th September

Two Black Terns were feeding early afternoon in Belfast Lough. The birds were scoped close to Greenisland, looking towards Holywood (Gerard McGeehan)

A juv Hen Harrier was at Lough Beg,19 Ruff at Paddy's Dub and 4 Chiffchaff at Mullagh.(David Steele)

A Curlew Sandpiper, four Ruff and a Reed Warbler were at RSPB Belfast Harbour Reserve (Stuart McKee)

Boat trip to Gigha.
There are two seats left for the Ballycastle to Gigha boat trip this Thursday(11th) and 6 places for the Saturday trip.
Gigha is a very beautiful island off the Mull of Kintyre,famous for its 52 acre garden and wildlife.If interested contact jimwells6@gmail.com
