2 summer plumaged Black Guillemots were seen on the Lagan from the Ormeau embankment (David Smylie)

In Donegal, a female King Eider was off Narin Strand at Portnoo. A Canada Goose was at Sheskinmore Lough with 19 Greenland White-fronted Geese. (Irish Birding)

Three adult Mediterranean Gulls were with a large flock of Gulls in the sea at high tide at Kircubbin. (David Nixon)

Chiffchaffs are now widely reported across NI.

A Carrion Crow was this evening on the outskirts of Newry (Frank Carroll)

A Chiffchaff and 2 Sand Martin were at Antrim Road Waterworks in Belfast (Larry Toal)

A Swallow was at Black Lough near Dungannon (Tony McCormick)

A Black Swan was with Greylag and Whooper along Diamond Lane near Brankinstown (Nigel Ireland)

A Pink-footed Goose was with Greylag at Reedy Flat and a female Long-tailed Duck a mile farther west of there (Stuart McKee)

5 Raven were seen in the Antrim Hills (4 of the birds were displaying). At Glenarm Bay there was one Great Northern Diver, with 5 Red-Throated Diver further up the coast at Garron Point. Red Bay, had 1 more Great Northern Diver. At Portstewart, 16 purple sandpiper were seen feeding along the rocky shore. (Ciarán Burns)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was in a garden near Drumaness, Co Down this morning (Monica Bailie)

A regular contributor to the Blog has notified us of a bird calling near the campsite cottage at Tollymore today that sounded like a Hoopoe. It is certainly worth listening for if in the area.
