Bird News Tuesday 14th January

The adult Ring-billed Gull is still at the East Strand car park, Portrush. (James Robinson/Sandy McWilliams).

The Siberian Chiffchaff is still showing well at Rockport School, Hollywood. (Birdguides).

A Little Egret is at Portmore Lough meadows, it has been present since the beginning of the month. (Amy Burns).

A flock of 37 Twite were at Portstewart Strand, also 18 Pintail flew in from the sea towards the Bann estuary followed by a single Whooper swan. Seven Purple Sandpipers were at Portandoo, Portrush. (Sandy McWilliams).

4 Great Northern Diver were off Cushendall. (Dick Glasgow).

The hybrid goose resembling a Snow Goose was 2 miles north of Ballycarry Bridge on the Magheramourne side of the lough. 2 Purple Sandpipers were a Whitehead. (Cameron Moore).
