Bird News Monday 4th November

The Barnacle Geese were still at Killard this evening. There was a Merlin, Kestrel, Little Egret as well (Craig Nash)

Yesterday a Red Grouse was at Llendrum Windfarm, Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone (Colin Bell)

Well over a hundred Skylark flew over Portadown yesterday evening (Alistair Prentice)

Large numbers of Lapwing and 500+ Golden Plover were along Lough Neagh from Ardmore toward Derrytrasna. (Noel Austin)

A probable Siberian Chiffchaff was on Aranmore Island, Co Donegal (Peter Phillips)

Keep an eye out near the coast for large flocks of Goldfinches and Long-tailed Tits which are currently arriving into Ireland.
