Bird News Friday 1st November

The Common Crane was still at Myroe this morning (Birdguides)

Yesterday at Briggs Rocks, Co Down, two flocks of Greenland White-fronted Geese flew in from the sea totalling 43 birds (Colin Guy)

2 House Martins were feeding at farm buildings at the start of the Lower Balloo Road, near Orlock, Co Down, this morning. 2 Crossbill were at Portavo reservoir, Co Down. (Ron Price).

 3 Snow Bunting, a Stock Dove, 6 Great Northern Diver and 8 Red-throated Diver were at the north end of Island Magee (Kerry Leonard).  

The male Goosander and 5 Little Egret were at Ballycarry Bridge (Cameron Moore, Kerry Leonard).

A flock of 15 - 20 Redwing were at Derrymacash outside Lurgan, see pictures below. (Noel Austin).

6 Eider and a Curlew were at Long Hole in Bangor this afternoon. (David McCormick).
