Bird News Wednesday 2nd May

An Osprey was at Capanagh on the Antrim Plateau. It flew across Starbog Road from the direction of Shane's Hill and perched between the sheep pen and the hill (William Smyton).
6 Cuckoo (4 male and 2 female) and 5 Grasshopper Warbler were south-west of Killeter in Tyrone (David Steele).
In south Down a Cuckoo and 2 Wheatear were at Murlough (Harold McBride).
A Common Sandpiper and 10 Whimbrel were at Belfast Harbour Lagoon (Stuart McKee).
A Swift was at Enniskillen (Brad Robson).

3 White Wagtail, a Sedge Warbler and a Common Tern were at the RSPB Lower Lough Erne reserve (Brad Robson)
6 Swift, 3 Common Sandpiper and a Whimbrel were at Corbet Lough, Co Down this morning (Adam McClure)
A male and a female Wheatear sitting on gravestone in new cemetery in Lurgan this morning (Pat Flowerday)
2 Common Tern were at the River Lagan and a Grasshopper Warbler at Maghera (Irish Birding)
At Achill Road Moss, Rasharkin were 2 male Cuckoo and a Curlew (John and Celine Loughlin)
