Bird News Sunday 23rd October

A juvenile Sabines Gull was at Ballyquintin Point, Co Down at 9.30 heading south. Also from 9.30 to 11.30 10 Great-northern Diver, 8 Common Scoter, a Sandwich Tern and a Greenland Wheatear. 9 Sandwich tern at Granagh Bay and one at Portaferry. 300 golden plover at Kirkiston (Richard Weyl)
The Ring-billed Gull and an adult Mediteranean Gull were at Gromsport Harbour. A Little Egret was at the Floodgates, Newtownards and a Slavonian Grebe was at Greyabbey Bay South (Keith Bennett)
6 Little Egret and 140 Wigeon were on the Comber Estuary (Paul Murphy) 
A 1st winter Little Gull was at Ballyhalbert beach this morning. At least six sandwich terns there as well.  (James Robinson)
