On this date

24th May 1958 saw Northern Ireland's first Lesser Yellowlegs at Lough Beg Co.Londonderry.
There has been quite a few since 16 in fact, the last being a bird seen yet again at Lough Beg in 2008 which stayed for 2 weeks in June. Maybe not a bad bird to look out over the next couple of weeks considering the strong winds this last week have been coming from the west.
