Bird News Tuesday 3rd May

A female Yellow Wagtail, a female Whinchat, 6 Wheatear and 15 Rock Pipits were feeding on the tideline at Coney Island Bay just north of Killough, Co. Down.

There are 2 pairs of Little Egret displaying in the trees at the heronry at
Delamont Country Park - they can be seen from the bird hide there without
disturbance (Spencer, Joan and Andrea Marshall).

30 Crossbill - including recently fledged young, were at Binevenagh
Forest (Irishbirding).

2 Grasshopper Warblers, and 2 Garden Warblers, were singing on Inishfendra/Crom, Co. Fermanagh. (Stephen Scarlett).

A Greenland Wheatear and a White Wagtail were at Whitehead seafront, Co. Antrim. (Ian Enlander).

Yesterday 2 Common Sandpipers were at Killough Brickworks and 2 Grasshopper Warblers at Strand Lough.
