Bird News Monday 6th September

A Balearic Shearwater, 60 Manx, 7 Storm Petrel and good numbers of Gannet
moved out of Belfast Lough between Big Isle and the Copeland Observatory over 2
hours. A Sooty Shearwater and 5 Sandwich Tern were east of Mew Island. (N McKee).
A Little Stint (first reported) and 3 Curlew Sandpiper at Belfast Lough RSPB Reserve. Also 2 Ruff and a Green Sandpiper there (C Sturgeon, I Graham).
Great Skua, 4 Arctic Skua, 4 Arctic Tern, 20 Sandwich Tern, 2 RT Diver and 2 Common Scoter at Kearney Point, Co. Down. (K Bennett) 
2 Little Egret and 3 Curlew Sandpiper at Ballycarry Bridge, Larne Lough. (C Moore)
 
The elusive warbler on Tory Island yesterday was probably an aberrant phyllosoc.
