Bird News for Saturday 11th Sept

Thanks to E.O'Hara who sent in the above photo of the Greenshank at the RSPB Harbour Estate.

Over the course of the day RSPB Belfast Harbour Estate had 2 juv Little Stint, 11 Curlew Sandpiper 4 Ruff,1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Greenshank, 1 Little Egret and this evening 2 Arctic Skua flew up Belfast Lough.

Juv Black Tern of the East Strand Portrush an ad Ring billed Gull back at Portrush car park. Portnadoo (between east strand and ramore) had 35 Purple Sandpiper, 110 Turnstone, 20 Ringed Plover, 4 Wheatear at Ramore headland. (M.Tickner)

32 Ruff, 10 Curlew Sandpiper, 6 Wheatear and a Chiffchaff. (D.Steele)

An ad Med. Gull was at Carrick Harbour.

A sea-watch of Burial Island had 22 RT Divers, 3 Arctic Skua, 2 Great Skua 3 Common Scoter.
