'Let me in. It's freezing out here!'

Gareth Alexander took this picture of a White-cheeked Turaco Tauraco leucotis in his garden - sitting on the windowsill. According to Chris Murphy this bird has been around the Annahilt area of Co. Down for seven years - thanks to one of his friends leaving out expensive fruit! This bird is an escape (obviously!) and it's original range is north-west Africa (Eritrea, Ethiopia and Sudan). Judging by the picture it doesn't seem to mind the Northern Ireland climate too much.... unless he just wants in.
